Do we need a new comparison measure, to replace lumens in consumer selection of most-efficient lighting?
I have sought to inform the selection of LED lighting to replace incandescent and CFL point source bulbs through reported unambiguous side-by-side comparisons. In this I have suggested that a "Brightness Number" be used as the alternative to lumens count.
